Our Testimonials
"My husband and I are both elementary school teachers and were very particular about where to send our baby girl. We spent an entire month of our summer (after our daughter was born) interviewing and visiting daycare providers in Marin. We went through Marin Child Care Council which provided us with many referrals and some great information. In total, I think we spoke to 30 providers and visited 12.
Dana was the ONLY one I would have left my child with. She has two girls of her own and extensive experience caring for young children. Dana has a background in preschool and Child Development. She continues to seek training in Positive Discipline strategies and shows a commitment to her own growth as an educator. She has set up a wonderful environment in her home. Everyone is always engaged and well cared for. Most importantly, Dana knows how to play in a fun and meaningful way with young children.
My daughter was with Dana from 3 months until 3 years. She always loved going and never even had a problem with separation when we left her. Dana helped with all of the major stages of our daughter’s growth. She was instrumental in creating a healthy sleep routine, potty training, teaching her to dress and feed herself and being a great partner in dealing with the daily struggles of parenting. Our daughter has developed a very special bond with Dana and her entire family. It is truly her home away from home.
I highly recommend Dana to anyone who wants high quality care for their child. Even though my daughter is 8 years old, I am still so very grateful for the foundation she received from being with Dana when she was in those very important formative younger years of development."

"Dana cared for our son from 8 months, when I went back to work full time, until he was two and a half. I could not have asked for a better caregiver and teacher. Dana is a “natural” teacher with patience, empathy, gentleness, and expertise. My son loved her and blossomed because of the social opportunities and guidance Child’s Playce provided. Even now, at age five, he still returns to visit Dana and her family. If you are looking for a small and nurturing environment; one that is clean, calm and loving, a place where social and emotional needs are met in addition to building fundamental skills, then Child’s Playce is the place for your child. "

"My daughter was with Dana for more than two years. The wonderful, safe, educational, family environment was perfect for my daughter who could not adapt previously at other preschools. Dana worked closely with my daughter who had hearing and speech delays. She taught her signs so she could communicate better and was so patient and kind."

FAQs
You’ve Got Questions — I’ve Got Answers
Do we get updates about our child throughout the day?
Yes! We use Brightwheel, an app that sends out updates on food, sleep, diapering, and fun photos throughout the day.
Do I need to provide food for my child?
No, morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack are provided. Everything is home cooked each day.
Some example snacks: Fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, banana/egg "pancakes", ...
Some example lunches: turkey with pasta and veggies; lasagne; chicken risotto; chicken apple sausage, rice, roasted zucchini and carrots.
Do you follow a daily schedule?
Somewhat...We have core routines throughout the day such as mealtimes and nap times for those old enough to be on a nap schedule. However, in between we believe in plenty of free play to give the children time to explore and be curious about their world in our enriching environment.
